2010_Group_Singapore

PPG General Manager, Kevin Stephens; Sun Communications consultant, Rodger Hall; and Robin Ryan of Crux Investigation, have just returned from Singapore where they successfully concluded the third PPG Project Forwarding Education Course. The two-day course was held on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th January, 2010, immediately following PPG’s participation in the Breakbulk Asia conference and exhibition. All twenty two students received a Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management at the end of the program. We are delighted to advise that the program was a huge success, with all students advising their complete satisfaction.

The course contained a wealth of knowledge and information sharing which we are certain will hold all attendees in good stead for the future and assist them in changing their future understanding and approach to project cargo management. Participating students came from Sweden, Malaysia, Australia, China, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Bahrain andKazakhstan.

This course follows the success of the first course in Mumbai, India, in January 2009, the second course in Bremen, Germany 28-29 October, 2010 and PPG are now considering their fourth program for the second quarter 2010.

* The new and innovative project cargo training course has been nominated for the HLPFI (Heavy Lift Project Forwarding International) training award in 2010 and was a finalist in both The Lloyds Australian Shipping & Transport and The Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia education awards. The PPG education program is accredited to IS09001:2008 Quality Standard.

Student Testimonials:

I wish to thank you for all of the material that you have supplied. Even though I am currently working on the “client” side of the fence, for my own personal professional development I found the course extremely informative and constructive. I was impressed that the course content challenges the students to think outside the square, giving an insight into communication techniques that can help with negotiation and with both contract development and management and providing basic industry tools that when implemented will allow the students to provide their clients over and above the minimum services that they will be expecting. Whilst the knowledge gained was worth the cost of the course alone, I believe the biggest benefit was the ability to network with 22 colleagues based worldwide and discuss the key issues such as where the industry is at, freight markets and challenges that we all face, this is invaluable and a key part of the success of the course structure. I wish to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to all, if you ever find yourself in Perth please let me know I will be only more then happy to make you feel welcome and show you around this great city. For those that are interested, I have taken the opportunity to attached some material relating to the company in which I work, for those looking to get into the larger side of the project freight market this is the type of organisation that you would potentially be dealing with.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience to us, and you have mentioned about Thailand, Bangkok and Klongtoey. Obviously, if you knew us before, your projects in Thailand would be just “a piece of cake”. I have looked through your CD material, it would be helpful to us to constructive project cargos well. However, I would like to ask you to share me the presentation about Number 10 with power. I would like to share this presentation with my colleagues about “Attitude in working place”. Thank you very much. And in additional, if you have any further training program about PPG, we are all welcome to join them.
