HLPFIawards

PPG has its own International Project Forwarding Education Program which is also accredited to ISO9001:2008 Standard. The first Course was conducted in Mumbai (January 2009); the second in Bremen (October 2009); and the third in Singapore (January 2010). The PPG Training Course has previously been named as a finalist in the 14th Annual Lloyd’s List DCN Australian Shipping and Transport Education and Training Award; and the Supply Chain & Logistics Association Annual Education and Training Award in 2009.

HLPFI is celebrating excellence in the heavy lift and project forwarding industry with the launch of their first awards. The brightest individuals and companies will be rewarded at a gala evening in November 2010 in Hamburg with two types of award, for ‘excellence’ and ‘achievement’.

For the Achievement Awards, panels of independent industry professionals will judge entries submitted in six categories: Health & Safety; Project of the Year; Training; Environment; Innovation; and Equipment.

PPG USA member, TransProject LLC, has also been nominated for the Excellence Award for the category Project Forwarder of the Year.

The ongoing aim of PPG is to develop personnel in all aspects within the specialised field of global project forwarding. In order to develop, course participants collaborate across sectors and cultures to seek the most appropriate solutions for specific projects. The Accredited PPG Program has at its disposal all the knowledge and human resources of all members of the organisation, which includes some of the most experienced project forwarders in the world. This is a wonderful achievement and one of which we are extremely proud.
