PPG Finalist for the Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards

Australia's shipping, ports and maritime industry gathered at the 16th Annual Lloyd's List DCN Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards on Thursday November 24, 2011 to celebrate excellence and achievement. Held at the Sofitel Ballroom in Melbourne, more than 400 senior industry executives attended, making this one of the most premier events in the Shipping calendar with representation from every state making this one of the must attend events. Delegates came from across the nation to learn the nominees and winners in 16 categories determined by the judging panel and two awards selected by Lloyd's List DCN.

PPG has its own International Certificate Project Forwarding Education Program which is also accredited to ISO9001:2008 Standard and were finalists in two categories: "Project Cargo Award" and "Maritime Services Award". The first Course was held in Mumbai, India (Jan 2009); followed by Bremen, Germany (Oct 2009); Singapore (Jan 2010); Houston (Oct 2010) which was held in conjunction with The Journal of Commerce Breakbulk Exhibition; Singapore (Jan 2011) in conjunction with the Breakbulk Asia conference and exhibition; Perth, Australia (May, 2011) in conjunction with the Lloyds List DCN Breakbulk conference; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (June, 2011) in conjunction with the annual PPG conference; and New Orleans (Oct 2011) in conjunction with the Breakbulk Americas Conference and Exhibition. To date we have had 185 students from 43 countries.

Further courses are scheduled for Shanghai (28-29 February, 2012) in conjunction with the Breakbulk China conference and exhibition; Antwerp (21-22 May, 2012) in conjunction with the Breakbulk Europe conference and exhibition; and Houston (8-9 October, 2012) in conjunction with the Breakbulk Americas conference and exhibition.

 

The aim of PPG is to develop personnel in all aspects within the specialised field of global project forwarding and logistics management. In order to develop, course participants we collaborate across sectors and cultures to seek the most appropriate solutions for specific projects. The ISO Accredited PPG Program has at its disposal all the knowledge and human resources of all members of the organisation, which includes some of the most experienced project forwarders in the world.

 

We are delighted to advise that the PPG course was named as a finalist in both the Lloyds List and the Supply Chain & Logistics Association Annual Education and Training Awards (2009); The 2011 IFW Awards and the 2010 Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International Education Awards.
