PPG Jordan Successfully Ship Monster Heat Exchangers |

PPG member, Seven Seas Shipping Co. have successfully concluded the delivery of 2 x 139 tonne Heat Exchangers for a sulfuric acid plant from Tarragona Port in Spain to Aqaba Port, Jordan for the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, Industrial complex. The project shipment arrived Aqaba on 26th January 2012, with final delivery to project site, some 25 klms from Port, on 29 January 2012 using two low bed trailers with capacity of 170 tonnes each, 12 axles, 52 tyres

The overall dimensions of each Heat Exchanger were 14.545m x 7.030m x 8.340m, weighing 139 tonnes each. Shipment total 1,705.553 cbm / 278 tonnes. The shipment was managed and supervised by Mr. Abbas Shoubaky of Seven Seas Shipping Co. who advises that the shipment was delivered safely, on time and on budget to the complete satisfaction of the client,

The scope of services included Ships Agency; Customs Clearance/Exemption Levy procedures; Road Surveys; Bridge Strengthening; Removal of Power Cables; Provision of Escort and Police Vehicles; Loading and Discharge Supervision; and Unloading at Site to final foundations utilising 2 x 200 tonne mobile Leibherr Cranes.
Seven Seas Jordan recently delivered to same client an economizer weighing 105 tonnes (7.260m x 3.860m x 5.800m) ex Houston, USA, In 2011 Seven Seas also concluded one project 60,000cbm/15,000 tonnes for one client.
