The site was Hindalco Alumina plant in Jharakhand, India. 3 Digesters of 165 tonnes each, with a length of 20 meters and with a diameter of 2.5 meters. The Digesters were erected with the help one of 340 tonne mobile telescopic crane and 150 tonne crawler crane. Express had to create a ramp and raise the 340 tonne mobile telescopic crane by 4 meters from ground level, enabling them to erect the equipment safely. The entire execution was highly complex and taxing and to add to the challenges Express faced were issues such as, space constraints, other site obstructions, temporary ramp, etc. All the 3 digesters were erected straight from the trailer to the foundation by changing the orientation without unloading onto the ground. The crane equipment was stationed at the site for other jobs for a period of 8 to 10 months.express1.jpgexpress2.jpgexpressmanitowoc.jpg  express450mt.jpg
