PPG to Host Additional Project Cargo Training Courses |
|
Following the overwhelming success of its first Project Cargo Training Course in Mumbai, India, January 28-29, PPG will continue with its objective to offer fast tracking skills and knowledge concerning the freight forwarding of project cargo, particularly heavy-lift and over dimensional plant and equipment. A second two-day training workshop is scheduled for Bremen, Germany, in October 28-29, 2009. |

| Principal instructor Kevin Stephens has 40 years of international industry experience that provides a wealth of knowledge covering all aspects of the supply chain, particularly project forwarding, ship-broking, chartering and contract management activities. Through his vision and foresight, PPG General Manager, Kevin Stephens, created the first dedicated project forwarding network in the world over a decade ago and this innovative concept has now been reinvented into PPG. Others have copied or continue to copy this initiative, but Kevin, PPG and its members continue to represent the original concept and idea with unrivalled excellence. |

| Following the completion of the course, a Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management would be presented. Mr Stephens said the training had received excellent feedback from 12 international attendees at the inaugural course in Mumbai in January. The workshop also offers professional business communication training that supports career progression within supply chain management. |
| |
| Business communication consultant Rodger Hall compliments the training with essential business communication skills that help persuade, promote, instruct and explain. Mr Stephens said the course focused on training that could be effectively applied in the workplace and delivered skills that otherwise could take many years to acquire. “This is an innovative approach to training because it has been designed by industry professionals and takes participants through case studies that will improve skills and understanding that can be applied quickly and confidently when the employee returns to the workplace and improve bottom line performance,” Mr Stephens said. |

| An investment of US$1,500 per person secures participation in the two-day course for companies working in project cargo, and procurement managers and others seeking more knowledge of this industry sector. More information about the course is available by contacting Mr Stephens at
