PPG Southern China - First Truck to Traverse the World’s Longest Bridge-Tunnel Sea Crossing – HZMB
Wangfoongs first truck to move via HZMB
The “Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge” (HZMB), connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macau, was officially opened on 24th October 2-18. The HZMB is the first direct land-based passage to and from Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macau. Compared with the traditional waterways. The HZMB reduces the transportation time to about 1 hour and improves the production efficiency of the entire supply chain.
Wangfoong Transportation introduces new logistics services in Greater Bay Area (9 core cities in Guangdong Province and 2 Special Administrative Regions), including (1) full truckload service, (2) less-than-truckload services and (3) warehousing and other value-added logistics services such as stuffing/unstuffing, cargo sorting, customs declaration & customs clearance etc.
On 24th October, Wangfoong provided a full truckload service for a client with an inbound air shipment, from Hong Kong to Zhuhai. In addition to rapid travelling, the customs clearance procedure was efficient and total lead time from Hong Kong to Zhuhai was about 1.5 hours.
The “Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge” achieves below logistics advantages:
Direct from consignor’s warehouse and delivery to consignee’s warehouse without multiple transfers, which greatly reduces extra risks in cargo re-handling.
Operating 24 hours a day with 1-hour travel distance
Without bypassing Zhongshan, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and other cities, it takes 45 minutes to travel the 55-km distance via the Bridge.
Connecting the core cities in Pearl River Delta
With direct connection between Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macau, this fosters the flow of people, logistics, capital and information in Greater Bay Area.
Alternative shipping mode
Under extreme weather conditions, beside traditional water transport, land transport via the Bridge is still possible with no compromise on the travelling time.
