PPG Turkey Arranges 15 Garbage Trucks from Izmir to Misurata, Libya

There are multiples ways of moving such commodity to Misurata from Izmir. After carefully evaluating all options, it was decided to use a combination of two different transport systems for an optimum solution: Road transport from manufacturer’s factory in Izmir to Haydarpaşa Port, Istanbul (502 kms); where the garbage trucks would be loaded on a Ro-Ro ship for delivery to Misurata Port, Libya.

Despite hectic customs procedures, Genel Transport managed to complete all procedures and delivery of the commodities smoothly to Haydarpaşa Port terminal within the same day thanks to the hard work performed by their Project Team.

Overall, collection from the factory in Izmir and loading onboard the Ro-Ro ship departing to Misurata took only 2 working days, which has significantly optimized the entire transit time till the delivery point.
